Rules
Rules version v2
How it works
- Get in. Sign in with email or Google. An admin approves you (it's invite-only), then your entry is ready.
- Make picks. Each week, pick a team you think will win. Pick ahead as far as you like; a pick locks when its game kicks off.
- Survive. Wrong or missed picks are losses. Two revives cover you through Week 6. Week 4 needs a win pick and a lose pick.
- Win. The last entrant standing takes the main pot. Four side pots run on the side.
Entry
- One entry per person. No re-entry and no buy-backs — the two revives are the only mercy mechanic.
- Entry stays open until Week 1's first Sunday kickoff. Join late and you simply can't pick teams whose Week 1 game already started.
- The entry fee is set by the commissioner and collected offline (Venmo). This site never touches money — it tracks picks, results, and standings.
Weekly picks
- Each week, pick one team to win.
- Each team can be used once per season — and that includes Week 4 lose picks. Once a pick locks, its team is spent.
- You may pick ahead for any future week and change any pick freely until it locks at its game's kickoff (times shown in your local time zone).
- Your picks are hidden from other players until they lock. After kickoff, everything is open book: picks, used teams, and revives left.
Week 4 — win & lose
- Week 4 needs two picks: one team to win and a different team to lose. They may be opponents in the same game.
- Both teams are spent once their picks lock, and each pick is scored on its own — going 0-for-2 creates two losses (but see revives below).
Losses, revives, and elimination
- A wrong pick, a missed pick, or a tie is a loss. Nothing is auto-picked for you — an empty week is a loss even if every game locked.
- You start with two revives. A revive automatically forgives all losses in a single week — "a revive forgives a bad week; you have two."
- Revives only work through Week 6; unused revives expire at Week 7. From Week 7 on, any loss eliminates you.
- You're eliminated when a loss lands in a week no revive covers.
Weird game outcomes
- A game postponed within the same NFL week keeps your pick alive; it locks at the new kickoff. Already-locked picks stay locked.
- A game canceled or moved out of its week voids the pick — no loss, but the team stays used.
- Forfeits score by the NFL's official winner and loser.
Winning
- Last active entrant standing wins the main pot.
- If several players survive Week 18, they split it equally — the pool doesn't extend into the playoffs.
- If everyone left is eliminated in the same week, the players who started that week alive split the pot.
Side pots
- Four season-long side pots, bundled with your entry: Super Bowl champion, NFL MVP, best regular-season record, and worst regular-season record.
- All four picks lock at the entry deadline, are hidden until then, and are open book after.
- Everyone who picks correctly splits that pot. If teams tie for best or worst record, every tied team counts as correct.
- A pot nobody wins rolls into the main pot. Best/worst record settle at Week 18; Super Bowl and MVP pay out in February.
